Steven Auerbach, Esquire, LL.M.
Steve is the founder of the Law Office of Steven T. Auerbach, in Merion Station, Pennsylvania. Mr. Auerbach focuses his practice exclusively on providing outside general counsel & litigation services. Representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Mr. Auerbach’s routinely litigates employment, workers’ compensation, and civil/commercial litigation matters.
Mr. Auerbach is an accomplished negotiator and skilled trial practitioner. He has a solid record of turning challenging cases into success stories for his clients. Equally adept in state and federal court, arbitration, mediation or negotiation, Mr. Auerbach represents individuals and corporations in employment discrimination/retaliation, wage/hour, whistleblower, defamation, workers’ compensation, and breach of contract matters.
Mr. Auerbach is double-board certified (in civil practice advocacy by the NBTA and in workers’ compensation by the PBA). He has a LL.M. in trial advocacy from Temple University School of Law and a certificate in strategic negotiation from Harvard University Extension School. Mr. Auerbach is the president of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association and is a member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. He is consistently recognized as a “Super Lawyer Rising Star,” the highest possible peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standards, as well as acknowledged as a top practitioner by his peers. Over the past several years, he has regularly been a featured seminar speaker on panels regarding trial law.
He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; the Third & Sixth Circuits, Courts of Appeal; the Federal Circuit, Court of Appeal; the Federal Court of Claims; the Pennsylvania Supreme Court; the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle & Western Districts of Pennsylvania; the Ohio Supreme Court; the United District Courts for the Northern & Southern Districts of Ohio; the New Jersey Supreme Court; and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Auerbach has recently been lead or co-counsel in several actions which have each settled or resulted in verdicts in the mid-six (6) to eight-(8) figure range.
In his spare time, Mr. Auerbach enjoys spending time with his wife and son and coaching high school mock trial.
Thomas Schierberl, Esquire
Tom is an associate attorney at the Law Office of Steven T. Auerbach in Merion Station, Pennsylvania. Tom brings a wealth of experience and a multidisciplinary approach to the team.
Tom is a United States Air Force veteran and a graduate of the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Duquesne University where he distinguished himself through his leadership in the Military Law Society and through his proactive role as a Student Liaison for the Duquesne University Small Business Development Center. In law school, Tom studied under Mr. Robert Krebs, Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board Commissioner. These experiences underscore his commitment to law and community service, equipping him with a unique perspective on legal advocacy and client relations.
Before joining the firm, Tom worked in regulatory compliance. Now, Tom uses this experience to serve the firm’s heavily regulated clients, especially those operating at the confluence of law, health, education, and technology.
Outside the courtroom and the office, Tom is an avid reader and a painter of miniatures.
